Our Humanitarian relief efforts mobilize and deploy resources to provide hardship relief to vulnerable members of low income communities across Nigeria. Our interventions typically target vulnerable women including expectant & nursing mothers, elderly citizens and people living with disabilities.
Our Covid-19 relief initiative was aimed at mobilizing resources to provide hardship relief to vulnerable citizens in Nigeria whose livelihoods had been altered as a result of the pandemic. A total of 2,245 families were reached across 9 communities (Makoko, Alagomeji-Yaba, Otto community, Surulere, Isolo, Somolu, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe LGA and Ajegunle) in Lagos state. Leveraging on strategic partnerships as a tool to intensify our humanitarian relief efforts, Adara Foundation collaborated with the Aliko Dangote Foundation for the delivery of its National Food Intervention Program in Ogun state.
Our distribution specifically targeted vulnerable groups and reached indigenes in 58 communities in Abeokuta south. The allocation benefited young children in orphanages and special needs schools, expectant and nursing mothers in maternity homes and health centers as well as the elderly. A total of 1,500 bags were distributed.
